Brian Morris joined the electricity industry in 1986. Before establishing Creative Energy Solutions in 2003 Brian held positions at the SECV and Loy Yang Power. During his career Brian has gained wide ranging experience in technical, business, financial and energy trading roles within the corporate, power station and mining environments. Brian has strong financial management skills coupled with extensive experience in the energy trading, business, and technical fields. Brian has drawn on this wide ranging experience to provide prudent and practical advice to clients.
Carl Daley was a founder of Creative Energy Solutions in 2003 and since this time Carl has been an active energy advisor with an emphasis on strategy development which combines well with his first hand industry experience, critical knowledge of risk management and mathematical modeling. Carl is a regular speaker at many industry conferences and seminars. Carl joined the deregulated energy market in 1995 and was a trading manager at Powercor Australia and Origin Energy as well as a senior manager at Loy Yang Power. More recently Carl has moved into the global strategy role with M&C Energy Group.
Chris is a fellow of the Australian Society of Accountants (FCPA) and joined the deregulated energy market in 1996. Prior to forming Creative Energy Solutions in 2003 Chris was a Portfolio Manager in the energy trading group at Powercor Australia and Origin Energy. Chris has a strong commercial acumen which complements his energy trading experience to deliver practical commercial outcomes for clients. Chris Treacy is a Director of the company and leads the Customer Advisory group providing client advisory services.
Andrew Dodds joined Creative Energy Solutions in 2005 and now leads the market modelling group. With a background in mathematics and computer science, Andrew has seven years’ experience developing mathematical models to analyse and forecast energy market outcomes for a diverse range of clients including many of Australia’s largest electricity retailers, generators and consumers. To this role he brings excellent skills in quantitative analysis, a detailed understanding of physical and financial energy markets and the ability to effectively interpret and communicate complex modelling results to distil strategic implications for clients.
David has had over 8 year’s experience in the energy industry and prior to joining Creative in June 2008 was a Category Manager, Support Services, Strategic Procurement for the Coles Group. During David’s time at Coles, David implemented an energy purchasing strategies that facilitated flexible electricity arrangements at driving significant cost savings and reducing risk. In addition, to the sound energy experience David has Procurement (MCIPS) and Information Technology (Dep IT) qualifications. This combined, David is well positioned to provide strategic advice across various sectors of the energy market.
Jamie Catt has been active in the Australian deregulated energy markets since 1996. With a background in energy trading operations and risk management Jamie has extensive hands-on experience with all aspects of energy commodity cost risk management including policy, procedures, data management and risk measurement and reporting. Joining Creative Energy Solutions in 2006 Jamie is responsible for providing procurement timing advice and consulting services to businesses interested in the Australian energy market.
Vicki Nyin is the Retail Operations Manager, and leads the team that delivers data management, invoice validation, reporting & analysis services for retail customers. Vicki spent five years in procurement at Myer Limited, where she drove procurement strategies for electricity and gas, and was also involved in energy compliance programs such as the federal government’s Energy Efficiency Opportunities (EEO) Program and National Greenhouse and Energy Reporting (NGERS). Vicki joined Creative Energy Solutions in 2010 as an Advisor, and since over seen the implementation of services for several medium to large customers, managed the Reporting & Analysis team, and overseen the recent amalgamation of the Reporting & Analysis, and Data Management teams into a single department.
Mark has recently been appointed CEO of M&C Energy Group. As CEO, Mark leads the business - with a place on the board and responsibility for the management team and, hence, everyone who works with M&C.
He founded Encore, an international energy risk management company that supported leading companies with the management of over €3bn of commodity risk annually. Mark joined M&C when Encore became part of the Group in 2010.
As Strategic Development Director, Simon heads up the development of our global business strategy and will be appointed Vice-chairman of the Board.
Having joined M&C in 1987, Simon has spent his whole career so far in the Energy Consulting Industry. He stepped up onto the Board of Directors in 1994 and then held a series of different Director roles across the business before being appointed CEO in 2009. Simon sees his role as the strategic head of the company, setting the direction for the business and ensuring that it becomes the leading international energy procurement, compliance and performance specialists, focused on enhancing customers' competitiveness.
Peter is the Group Sales and Marketing Director for M&C and has been with the company since April 2010. Peter utilises sales experience, strong management controls and organisational change management skills to deliver targeted results.
Peter has a background in the Technology and Services industries, having been responsible for selling IT Solutions and Services, Integrated Support Services and Business Process Outsourcing across the public and private sectors throughout his career. Peter is successful in business to business services sales, including both new business development and incremental existing client growth, as well as identifying new product developments and business streams.
As Group Services Director, Ben is responsible for 80% of the Group's global operations and P&L, including Europe and SE Asia - with a focus on client segmentation, client retention and cross selling. He has been with M&C since 1990 and was promoted to Director in 2001.
Ben is a business development orientated executive, with an extensive knowledge of the European energy market and its growth drivers. He fully understands that high-performing businesses operate key account management across traditional boundaries to provide a transparent and consistent customer-facing business focus.
